In this lesson you will need the Plugin: Sextet and the fontBank Gothic To start off, save the image and the background below into your system.
1. Increase their colors to 16 mil colors.(shift + Ctrl + 0) 2. Take the couple and colorize. Colors > Colorize > Hue: 26 Saturation: 41. Click OK
3. Now they need to be lightened up a bit. Go to Colors > Adjust > Brightness/Contrast. Settings should be Brightness: 10, %Contrast: -5. Click OK. Next go to Effects > Enhance Photo > Automatic Contrast Enhancement. This time, settings are Bias: Lighter, Strength: Normal, and Appearance: Flat. Click OK. The couple should look a tad yellow, but their features are now much more prominent.
4. Using the selection tool, capture the couple, settings are Ellipse and feather: 30. Just select past the man's elbow and about ear width out. It will appear that the entire image has been captured, but have no fear. Copy the image.
5. Paste new image onto the background.
Take your eraser tool and erase some of the black around the couple. Eraser opacity should be low, so you don't erase too much of the black, but enough to eliminate the focus from the couple.
6. Add some color into the woman's face. For her lips and eyelids, use a light pink.
(Colors > Red: 218 Green: 194 Blue: 194).
Use your Color to Target tool to put in the color, size 3, Hardness: 74, Opacity: 11, Step: 31, Density: 100.
7. Believe it or not, we're going to add a touch of color to the man too. Just so he looks a little more human. :) The color we're using is a super light neutral color (Colors > Red: 255 Green: 241 Blue: 225), and we just touching a bit to his eyelids and lower lip. Opacity will inch back up to around 11, and size will be smaller, say 2 or 3. Either one will work.
8. Merge the layers. Go to Effects > Plug-in Filters > Flaming Pear > Glare. Settings are Diameter: 53, Cutoff: 74, Brightness: 47, Gamma: 45, Saturation: 132, Glue: Normal. Click OK. This will make the av a little more vibrant.
9. Add another layer. Take the font tool, and add the word Love. The text used here is Impact, size 26, color Red: 240 Green: 217 Blue: 221, Bold selected. Click OK. Move the font to the lower left hand corner of the av, and defloat. Got up to Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow, settings are Offset > Vertical: -1, Horizontal: 1, Attributes > Opacity: 80, Blur: 16, Color: Black. Click OK. Go to your layer palette, decrease opacity to 53%, and select Blend Mode: Overlay. Add another layer.
10. Add text again, this time the word is Forever. Font used is ChopinScript, size 18, color Red: 169 Green: 67 Blue: 84, no bold. Click OK. Move to lower right hand end of the font added in the previous step. On your layer palette, change Blend Mode to Multiply. Add another layer.
11. Add text, the phrase Happy Valentine's. Font is Bank Gothic Lt BT, size 8, same color as before. Click OK.
