In this lesson you will need the font: Music Hall To start off, save the girl and the background below into your system.
1. Increase them both to 16 mil colors.(shift + Ctrl + 0) 2. With the foreground color R231 G231 B255, make a New Image. 102 x 116. 3. Add new raster layer. Now with the Font Musical Hall Size 68, use the first capital letter of your name. Add with the color R206 G214 B239. Put it in the upper right hand corner of the new bg. 4. Use a drop shadow, settings are; Vertical-1, Horzontal-1, Opacity-72, Blur-2.5. Color Black. click ok. Lower your layer opacity to 80%. Merge layers.
5. Add a new raster layer. With your Clone Brush, add the girl onto your bg. Do any clean up and merge layers.
6. Add a new raster layer. Now with the font Nite Club, add another first letter of your name, Size 48, color White, and move it so it looks like the girl is sitting on a chair. Add a drop shadow. 7. Go up to Layers...Arrange....Move down. This puts the font behind the girl now and you don't have to worry about any cleaning up and erasing.
8. Add another raster layer. Add the last of your name with the same font. Change the size to 28. Add drop shadows and lower layer opacity to 95%. 9. Take your eraser tool and erase part of the name on the boot so it looks like her boot is coming through a loop. When satisfied, merge layers.
10. Now take the swirly bg we saved. Copy it and paste it over your other painting. 11. Lower your layer opacity to where you can see the girl through. Take your Eraser Tool, settings are; Size-29, Hardness-0, Opacity-50%, Step-25, Density-100. Tap over the girl and your name and parts of the bg you want to show through.
Raise your layer opacity back up to 80%. 12. When satisfied, add your own bit of magic....and viola' you are done!
And Voila' you are done!!!
