In this lesson you will need the filter: NS Softener To start off, save the girl below into your system.
1. Open the Girl and the BG and increase her color depth to 16 million (Colors > Increase > 16million).
2. Ok now take the girl and go to Effects > Pluggins > NameSupressed > Softener,
3. Now go up to Colors > Colorize, your settings are:
4. Go to your Layer Palette, right click on your Background Layer and go to Duplicate go back to Softenener, this time our Preset will be Dark & Moody
5. Go to your Retouch Tool, set it to Color to Target, and using your fave brush size color her eyes and lips using color
6. Go to Effects > Sharpen > Sharpen and do this Twice.
7. Once you have sharpened it, we will soften out some rough edges ( we dod this because we do not want a blurry image, but yet it needs to be soft). Go back to Softener this time change your preset to Color Intensive, click OK to add the effect.
8. Now go to your Layer Palette and right click on Copy of background and change it's blend mode from Normal to screen
9. Reduce the opacity of the layer we just changed to screen down to 69 and merge your layers (Layers > Merge > Merge All)
10. Go to File > New, and make a new 102 x 116 image and make sure that the background color is transparent.
11. Now go to your Selection Tool
12. Once you have your circle floating set your background color to #F8E5B0 | R:248 G:229 B:176 ( this is the same as the color we used to color her face) then go to Effects > 3d > Buttonize, your settings are:
13. Go to Copy and copy this circle, come over to your girl and paste it As a New layer.
14. Now position the circle along the top right of the image, and so the color parts of the circle show go to Image > Mirror. Now erase away the parts of the circle that cover her face.
15. Once you are done erasing, go to your Layer Palette, right click on the layer with the circle and duplicate it, then come down to your image and position this copy of the circle below the previous one and erase away any unwanted extras then go to Layers > Merge > Merge All.
16. Now that your layers are merged, go back to your layer palette and duplicate this layer, then go back to Image > Plugins > Name Sup > Softener,for your settings go to Open and double click on Color Intensive, click OK to add the effect.
17. Reduce the opacity of the layer we just added the soften according to your liking, then add your favorite font to the image, we used:
