Jazzy's Lesson #2

In tonights lesson you will need the filter Soften100.
To start off, save the girl and the backgrounds below into your system.


1. Increase them all to 16 mil colors.(shift + Ctrl + 0)

2. Bring up the Girl AV, and go to Effects > Enhance Photo > Auto Contrast Enhancement, your settings are:
Bias: Neutral | Strength: Mild | Appearance: Bold
Click OK, this will make the image stand out a bit better.

3. Using your retouch tool we will color her clothes, your settings are:
Retouch Mode: Color to target | Shape: Round | Size: 5 or 7 | Hardness: 0 | Opacity: 25 | Step : 25 | Density: 100 | Color: html:9C784D R:156 G:120 B:177
Now you are ready to Color her clothes. Go easy and Take your Time. Just stay within the Lines.

4. Once you have done her clothes Lets tap Some Of that same color onto her shoes Not Much, Just to Give it some effect.

5. Now bring up BG#1, Copy it then Paste it ( edit > paste) to the girl As a New Layer.
Go over to your Layer Palette and change the Blend Mode ( Where it says Normal) to Screen.

6. We lets bring her out some more.
To do this go to your Eraser Tool , your settings are:
Shape: Round | Size: 19 | Hardness: 0 | Opacity: 25 | Step: 25 | Density: 100
Come down to your image and erase parts of the background and now bring some of her out see My image for a Guide To see where I started and Stopped..

7. Now We Will use The Filter Called SOFTEN REMEMBER WE ARE ON THE SAME LAYER(1).SCREEN!!
This filter is nice for some soft effects. Go up to Image > Plugins > Name Suppresed > Softener , your settins are:
Just change Presets to Sainty and click OK

8. BRING UP BG 2 and Copy and paste it as new layer onto yoru main image . Now your Layer Pallet should read layer 2 and should be highlighted in blue and once again Pick SCREEN.

9. We will now bring her out with the Eraser Tool same settings as Step 6.

10.And once you have done that Go back to the SOFTEN FILTER SAME SETTINGS AS STEP 7. Remove some of the white off of her See my Guide for Help.

11. Now click on layer palette that reads 'background' then Go up to Effects Enhanance PHOTO/AUTOMATIC CONTRAST .Settings:Bias; Neutral Strength: Mild Appearance Bold.....then click ok. Then 'MERGE ALL'. Your image should Look like this.........Pretty Kewl a?!.

12. Time To add our Text...... Make a 'New Raster Layer' We will use the Font 'Micro' Go To Your 'A' Tool...Your Settings: Name MICRO. Size 12. Kerning 600/Leading 0. STYLES :Stroke off. Fill White. Texture: Stroke off. Fill:off. Floating: ON Antialias:ON THEN CLICK OK......Type a z m i n e in cap's........then Click ok.........Now You see the Text Floating on the image Now lets move this text over some try to get it like in between her knee's.

13. This will help you get a better look of how I placed the text. AND NOW WE ARE READY TO DO A DROP SHADOW'/GO UP TO EFFECTS/DOWN TO 3D EFFECTS/DROP SHADOW. YOUR SETTINGS: Vertical:1 Opacity:77 Horizontal:1 blur:1 Color :BLACK. then click Ok......SEE MY GUIDE ON THE DROP SHADOW on text to help.

14. .Now go to your layer palette. On layer 1 use LUMINANCE' and bring the Opacity Down to about 78 Then right click on layer palette Then MERGE ALL.

15. MAKE A 'New Raster Layer' and add the last letter of your name in this case the J use any SCRIPT font of your choice, make sure you are using the color White, and a LARGE size about 30-40 depending on the font, and add the text to your image.
Go up to your layer pallete and chane the Blend mode to Hardlight. Once you have done that add a Drop Shadow using the same settings as before ..see my Guide to help.

16. You can drop a few 3D shadows if u want to. i did x2. shows better i think.. and once you have done that MERGE ALL.....AND YAY WE DONE..

I DID 2 IMAGES HERE ONE for THE LESSON AND one On my free time. remember all we all do are paints diff/ noone is better then Noone. Use your skills and make up your own styles as I have done. Hugs Hope you all liked this lesson. jazmine__jazzy
